Problem

As the world's large coffee chain, Starbucks depends on seasonal promotions to drive sales of new products. Starbucks preforms 6 promotional changes throughout the year. Many promotions will market the same product year after year, so the challenge was to constantly create innovative promotions that captured the audience's attention while successfully hitting key marketing goals.

Approach

Leaning heavily into Starbucks' brand expression allowed the team to use a myriad of different artistic styles and approaches to develop new and exciting ways to communicate design and market hero products. Handcrafted art and design was always encouraged as it aligns and speaks to the company's core values of authenticity, culture and warmth.
