Bad Jimmy's Brewing Co.

Packaging

Problem

After six years of creating award winning beer, the 4 owners of Bad Jimmy's Brewing Company decided it was time to package their product and sell to consumers in beer shops and grocery stores. The biggest challenge was finding a way to stand out amongst a sea of beer products in the grocery aisle. With only four products and limited supply, they needed a design that grabbed attention while communicating flavor, style and brand.

Approach

As a craft brewery, Bad Jimmy's Brewing knew they didn't have enough product to visually block out a section of shelf for brand presence. With the brand's tagline, "Intense Ales" at the center of our strategy. We used distinct colors that spoke to the style of beer as well as flavor. The half can color split allowed for the beer name to be easily idenitified and read from a reasonable distance. Also, the prominent use of the brand spade gave the package a recognizable look to customers overwhelmed by the amount of visual stimuli in the aisle.
