                                Created in 1908, Paratex provides leading pest control solutions to help eliminate and prevent general pest issues throughout Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. Paratex realized, after decades, they needed a brand that would clearly communicate their type of business, be relevant to a particular audience, and be received as a serious competitor to the large national brands like Terminix or Ortho. The concept treats the pest as something possibly dangerous and undesirable, using angles and sharp points to communicate these ideas. This was a clear departure from the brand's original "friendly and anthropomorphic" grasshopper character.
